Carolyn was born in Kansas City, Missouri and moved with herfamily to the mountains outside of Prescott, Arizona in 1952.After receiving a BFA in graphic design at Arizona State University,Carolyn for nearly thirty years in the raw dessert near Phoenix,freelancing as an illustrator and muralist before returning to herforest home. Carolyn’s small, whimsical portraits of the wildlife ofthe American West focus on intricate botanical detail, bringing thesubtle beauties of this arid land to people around the world.
